May 10, 2019 – Sylva, NC – Smoky Mountain Home Builders Association (SMBHA) recognized upcoming students who are interested in post-secondary certification in trades and industry on Thursday, May 2, 2019
SMBHA advocates for students who are interested in building and construction and provided an award in collaboration with four local high schools and their vocational instructors.
Tommy Farmer, a junior who attends Jackson County School of Alternatives and is enrolled in the Career
Technical Education Trades and Industrial pathway, received the “Tools Award.”
Angela Lunsford, Principal of Jackson County School of Alternatives and Ben Hardin, CTE Instructor, and Caroline Williamson, Graduation Coach, attended the presentation.
